An accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective sports injury management. At the first consultation, Dr Azhar will take a detailed history of the injury - how it occurred, how symptoms have developed, and what has been tried so far. A thorough physical examination will be carried out, and diagnostic imaging will be arranged where required. Ultrasound is available in clinic; MRI referral can be arranged promptly where needed.
Where injection therapy is clinically appropriate, it can often be administered at the same visit as the initial consultation.

PRP injections:
Platelet-rich plasma therapy is used for chronic tendon injuries and joint conditions. Clinical studies have reported benefits in specific tendinopathy indications. Suitability and realistic outcomes are discussed individually.
